The NGO has delivered emergency aid packages, with food and hygiene products, to more than 150 families in the province of Hatay (Turkey).
As part of its humanitarian aid actions in an emergency context, Global Humanitaria has traveled to the Hatay region, one of the hardest hit by the recent earthquakes that have affected Turkey and Syria, to deliver emergency kits to some from the camps furthest from the main assistance centers. These deliveries include food for families, baby food, feminine hygiene products and diapers. In addition, one of the main objectives of the NGO is to care for and protect the emotional well-being of children. In this sense, Global Humanitaria has also provided recreational items for boys and girls, in addition to promoting dynamics, through play, aimed at promoting the aforementioned emotional well-being of the little ones. These actions have been developed hand in hand with local entities that They have facilitated the identification of the most vulnerable groups and their most pressing needs. The bulk of the work, in Turkey, carried out by Global Humanitaria in recent days has focused on the populations of Antioquia and Samandag. Two of the towns shaken by the two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 that hit 10 provinces in Turkey and northern Syria on February 6. Both cities are located in the Hatay region, where more than 21,000 people have died out of the total of 45,890 lifeless bodies recovered so far from the rubble. Over the next few days, Global Humanitaria will continue to deliver emergency kits in the area and work to safeguard the fundamental rights of children.
