The Ibex 35 started this Tuesday's session with a fall of 0.35%, which has led the selective to stand at 7,934.57 integers at 9:01 a.m., on a day marked by the celebration in the United States of the mid-term elections (or 'midterm'), where the House of Representatives and just over a third of the Senate will be renewed.

The polls indicate that in the House of Representatives, where all 435 seats are at stake, the Republicans have it easier, since they would take 216 seats, just two away from gaining control of the chamber, while the Democrats would win 199. seats.

A total of 20 seats remain to be decided. Practically all the polls show the Republicans as favorites to wrest control of the Lower House from their Democratic rivals.

In this way, after registering an advance of 0.25% yesterday, the Madrid selective began the session clinging to the psychological level of 7,900 points, with most of the values ​​in red.

In the early stages of this Tuesday's session, the biggest drops were scored by Grifols (-1.81%), Sacyr (-1.56%), Acerinox (-1.44%), Repsol (-0.97 %), Merlín Properties (-0.71%) and IAG (-0.68%), while on the opposite side were Sabadell (0.78%), Telefónica (0.52%), Bankinter (0, 09%) and Siemens Gamesa (0.08%).

The rest of the European stock markets also opened lower with falls of 0.3% for Frankfurt and 0.6% for London and Paris.

Likewise, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, stood at a price of 97 dollars this Monday, with a decrease of 0.41%, while Texas stood at 91 dollars, with a drop of 0.46%.

Finally, the price of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0003 'greenbacks', while the Spanish risk premium stood at 103 basis points, with the interest required on the ten-year bond at 3.407%.
