Quebec has reported eight additional deaths related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, as well as an increase in hospitalizations.

Quebec has reported eight additional deaths related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, as well as an increase in hospitalizations.

A total of 1,084 Quebecers are hospitalized because of the virus, 43 more than the day before. The number of intensive care patients has fallen slightly (-2) since Tuesday's report, for a total of 33.

The province also recorded 1,110 new cases of COVID-19 among people with access to testing centers, compared to 844 the day before, while 436 positive tests were self-reported on Tuesday.

In addition, according to Public Health data, 4,838 health network workers are absent due to the virus.
