Despite the increase in COVID cases in Quebec, there will be no return of the mandatory mask or new population measures, assures Dr. Luc Boieau in an interview with Salut Bonjour.

The national director of public health will, however, make recommendations to limit the spread of coronavirus infections in the province.

However, Dr. Boileau advises people over 60 to cover their faces in public places and enclosed spaces. He also recommends wearing a mask to Quebecers suffering from chronic illnesses and to those who are immunosuppressed.

The national director of public health will be accompanied by the Minister of Health, Christian Dubé. The two men have not given a joint press briefing since February.
