The number of hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 in Quebec increased on Friday, after falling for a week.

Thus, 1,942 people with the virus occupy a bed in the hospital, 17 more than the day before. Of that number, there are 51 in intensive care, an increase of four from Thursday.

Santé Québec recorded 965 new infections among those who have access to screening centers, and 123 positive rapid tests were declared on the government platform during the day on Thursday.

The pandemic continues to weigh on the health system, with 3,756 workers absent from the network due to COVID-19.
