About twenty cats were found in an “unsanitary” warehouse in Saint-Léonard on Sunday evening by the authorities.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) has opened an investigation.

The citizen who called the police to report the situation reportedly smelled a “strong smell” near the warehouse.

The Montreal SPCA has seized the cats and is taking care of them to check their health.
