In course of its investigations into manipulated exhaust gas values, Munich state prosecutor apparently searched several flats of former and current Audi employees. This is reported by Süddeutsche Zeitung, citing Public prosecutor's office in Munich. She was looking for evidence for alleged exhaust gas manipulations of VW subsidiary.

Last year it became known that Audi exhaust values had also been tampered with. In March re had already been a raid at Audi locations. In total, investigations are now underway against 13 Audi employees. Among new suspects, however, no one is from upper management, said a spokeswoman of prosecutor. For most part, y are "simple engineers". Among already known suspects is Wolfgang Hatz, a former Porsche board member and head of aggregate development at Audi.

Audi's parent company VW is criticized after it has become known that exhaust tests on monkeys were carried out on its behalf. According to an interview, VW CEO Matthias Müller still wants to continue to try to rehabilitate diesel engine. "I can very well understand that our customers are once again unsettled at site," Müller told sender N-TV. "Neverless, we will continue to invest in diesel technology for foreseeable future."
