At least two people are said to have died and five others were injured in a shooting that broke out in a Los Angeles park in the United States on Sunday afternoon, according to several American media reports.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said four men and three women were taken to hospitals following the incident and at least three of them were shot.

Shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday, at least one shooter reportedly opened fire at Peck Park, where a car show was taking place.

In the early evening, the Los Angeles police assured that the shooting was no longer in progress.

An investigation has been opened by the authorities.
