The Coalition Avenir Québec will be represented by Karine Boivin-Roy in the riding of Anjou–Louis-Riel in Montreal for the general election on October 3.

The leader of the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) and Premier of Québec, François Legault, as well as Chantal Rouleau, Minister for Transport and Minister responsible for the Metropolis and the Montréal region, announced the candidacy of Karin Boivin-Roy in a press release on Monday.

Ms. Boivin-Roy is a lawyer by training and was elected councilor for the Louis-Riel district for the borough of Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve in 2013. She has lived in the riding of Anjou–Louis-Riel for more than 12 years, has reminded the CAQ.

“Karine knows Montreal very well and even more Anjou–Louis-Riel. She has always been involved in her community. She loves her with love and knows her like the back of her hand, ”said François Legault in particular about him.

“I will continue to be the woman of the field and of action that I have always been,” said the candidate for her part.
