The best poutine is in Yamachiche, in Mauricie.

At least that's what a TikTokeur determined in a video posted on June 24. The latter traveled the province in search of the best poutines.

Since then, curious people from all over Quebec and elsewhere in the country have flocked to Les Couleurs de la terre farm to taste the dish that has been awarded a score of 10 out of 10.

What makes this poutine so successful? The potato, according to the co-owner.

“In our humble opinion, the potato is often neglected a bit in poutine. So we are really going to use varieties that will fry well. A frie that will remain as golden and as crispy as possible, which will not soak up oil, so we don't want soft and greasy fries, ”says Patricia Claveau to TVA Nouvelles.

While the farm usually sees around 200-300 people a day, from Thursday to Sunday, the number of visitors has increased to 2,000 customers a day since @niko.atsaidis posted.

The company had to adjust its cheese order to meet demand.

The whole family also pitched in to make up for the lack of manpower.

“Normally, one person has time to do several things, while there, each person was doing one thing, either washing dishes, blanching potatoes, cutting potatoes or preparing poutines or serving poutines,” explains Guy Fradette, co-owner of the farm.

Nearly two weeks after the TikTok publication, poutine lovers are still there on Thursday to discover “the best poutine”.
