The collapse of a glacier in the Italian Alps, which has left at least seven people dead and eight injured according to a new report, is linked to global warming, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said on Monday.

The disaster, which occurred the day after a record temperature of 10°C at the top of the glacier, is linked to "the degradation of the environment and the climatic situation", declared on the spot Mr. Draghi, who expressed his "support" for the families of the victims.
