Quebecer Steven Dubois climbed to the top step of the podium in the 500m event of the Short Track Speed Skating World Cup held at the Maurice-Richard Arena on Sunday.
The 25-year-old skater completed the distance in 40.345 seconds. Unfortunately, he was not joined on the podium by his compatriots, as Jordan Pierre-Gilles (40.920) and Mathieu Pelletier (41.785) finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Dubois was accompanied by Korean June Seo Lee (40.434) and Italian Pietro Sighel (40.719), in order.
The winner at the same time added another medal to his collection, he who had also won the silver, in the 1500m, as well as the bronze, in the 2000m mixed relay, the day before.
