Donald Trump on Monday denounced the “travesty of justice” constituted by the work of the majority Democratic parliamentary committee which accuses him of “attempted coup”, in a 12-page press release in which he also reiterates his false allegations of fraud regarding the 2020 election.

“This comedy...is a brazen attempt to distract the public from the truth...which is that Americans came to Washington en masse on January 6, 2021 to hold their elected officials accountable for the obvious signs of criminal activity during the election,” the former president writes in this document despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
