Who do Quebecers trust to weather a recession?

According to the most recent Léger survey, with the collaboration of the Journal de Montréal, the Journal de Québec, TVA Nouvelles and QUB, 40% of Quebecers questioned would trust the CAQ to face an economic crisis.

“The economic brand territory has always been the Liberal Party. We voted for the Liberal Party because we felt like we had more money in our pockets. It's been like that for 100 years," explained Jean-Marc Léger, president of the Léger polls, on LCN.

“In recent years, the CAQ has dominated this territory. It vampirizes the economic vote towards the CAQ, the same thing they did with nationalism. They went to seek the vote of the PQ. These two factors make them dominant across Quebec,” he continued.

Several solutions have been proposed by the parties to counter inflation. The entire collaborative survey will be released on Wednesday, June 22.
